Bill's Pizza Pub History
The Rogers family came to Greensboro, NC in December of 1968 on
a mission to start their own business. They sold their home in
Indiana used the proceeds from the sale and their savings to
open their first restaurant on High Point Rd. At that time they
did not realize the number of restaurants that do not succeed,
but Bill's Pizza Pub become known to the young crowd as Bill &
Dorothy’s Place. With little operating capital the couple worked
around the clock for the first couple of years.
Bill died October 14, 2004. Dorothy, at the age of 78 is still
very active and responsible for the major decisions. Daughter
Cara has been helping since the age of 15 and now is managing
Bill's Pizza Pub along with Pat Johnson who started with us in
1973.
